EducationBrigham Young University-Provo - BS, Civil and Environmental Engineering (Minor in Mathematics)
ExperienceI can genuinely say that I've found great joy and satisfaction in teaching, and I love watching the change in students when they really understand the material for the first time. My experience includes being a CRLA Certified Tutor, which means I've passed all three required levels of training. My work as a tutor in the mathematics lab at Brigham Young University, which was my favorite job, gave me extensive experience in teaching college algebra, calculus 1, calculus 2, calculus 3, and differential equations. I graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering with a mathematics minor, and I can offer guidance in related courses. My tutoring experience also includes tutoring my peers in high school and working privately with a middle school student on sharpening her math skills and raising her grades. As a native English and Hindi speaker, I have a natural understanding of juggling different cultures and languages, and I believe I could be a great resource for guiding students through language difficulties. While I now work as a structural engineer, my true passion is tutoring, and I look forward to working with many more students. When I'm not tutoring, I love playing tennis, basketball, piano, and guitar.
